My Etsy sales have been slow.... and by slow I mean practically non-existant for the last 2 months. I'm starting to get discouraged but I know that I should use this slow time to really focus on making new items and improving my shop so that when sales pick up again everything will be smooth and faster than ever.
In order to get focused I have written down a set of goals for March and started making a plan of how to reach them. Here are my goals:
1. Make 10 sales.
2. Get at least 2 new shop hearts each day.
3. Make 2 new designs.
4. Stock up on all of my current designs.
5. Make at least 1 treasury.
6. Increase shop views to around 100 per day.
How am I going to reach these goals?
- promote outside of Etsy by handing out business cards and posting flyers.
- post often in the Etsy forums.
- twitter daily.
- blog often.
- keep track of that treasury clock :)
- get to work!!
There is lots to do despite things being so slow. If you have any suggestions for other ways to reach these goals I would love to hear them too.

Those are great goals you have set for yourself. I have just developed goals for my blog and business as a whole, but have not set smaller month to month goals. This is a great way to stay motivated and have little successes along the way!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds much like me :) I am also determined to make sales more constant, had about one a month before. And the goals that I have set for myself is pretty much the same as yours. I would add - giveaway, as I have found it a good way of increasing followers.
ReplyDeleteAnd also I have set a goal for myself to visit other blogs more often and leave comments, as I want to recieve comments myself and I think it is important to build this relationship with your followers/readers.
Those are also goals that I have in my head. I will be hosting another giveaway soon but I haven't decided what sort of goodies to give.
ReplyDeleteI always try to comment on other blogs. I like the way that you can get to know people through blogging.
Good luck! Great goals and a lot of work, isn't it? I like setting the goals.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great product! Don't get discouraged!!! I'm sure that you will sell really well after these great promotions :)
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I find that posting my "to do" lists on my blog helps a lot. It makes me feel like people are watching and waiting for the final product/outcome. Good luck!
